OTT Bearing (Zhejiang Tongtai Bearing Co., Ltd.) announced that two models of its automotive alternator bearings have successfully passed the rigorous 1,004-hour endurance test conducted by a Russian OEM customer.
This milestone validates OTT's Carbonitriding (C-A) heat treatment technology, which improves bearing lifespan by 5–10 times compared to conventional processing. The tested bearings demonstrated consistent low-noise, low-vibration performance throughout the entire 1,004-hour test period — equivalent to over 41 days of continuous operation.
The successful test result further strengthens OTT's position as a qualified Tier-2 supplier for major international automotive OEMs. Our alternator bearings are also verified to support cold starts in environments as extreme as -60°C.
